Lori Munoz

Lori Muñoz believes in the power of mentorship, and attributes much of her professional and personal achievements to the guidance of her mentor.  Lori is a Board Member with the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, and the Chair of the Prodigy Group.   The Prodigy Group encourages business leaders and emerging business professionals to create opportunities for business and personal growth. They provide social networking events, community involvement opportunities, and professional mentorship relationships.

With some humour and personal stories, Lori will share her experiences and provide some tips on how mentorship can further your career and bring a greater sense of well-being.  

Lori works in Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Victoria.  She recently completed a Diploma in Public Relations from UVic.  She has been an advocate for mentorship for at-risk youth at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria. Lori managed the events, communications and sponsor relations for the agency for 7 years.  She studied 18 years of classical piano, which includes studying a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, also at the University of Victoria.  Lori teaches piano and theory privately in her own piano studio, Caprice Music Studio.

Lori is committed to being an active member in the community, and volunteers and provides supports to children and arts organizations in Victoria, such as ArtsReach and Junior Achievement.
